Default Bmax roof bars

Hi

I have a 2013 b max. I needed roof bars for holidays but I cannot seem to get them to fit securely.
The front one seems fine doesn’t move. But the rear one we cannot get to keep secure. It just seems to slide about.
many one have any advice or tips?

Fit both to the front

alternatively can’t you sleeve it with something like rubber mat?
