Zetec turbo
Hi ,
We've just put a 2.1 zetec turbo into my brothers s2 rs turbo. It was running a 2.1 zvh beforehand.
Only things changed apart from 8v to 16v head is the inlet manifold.
We can start the engine but wants to rev at approx 1500/ 2000 rpm. There's no cam sensor, so I can't see what is causing the really fast idle. It's running ofam ( mega squirt ) management.
Has anyone got any ideas?
cheers mark

Have a think about that.
And on a most basic level, if idle is too high, then it is getting too much air or to a lesser degree perhaps too much timing.
Which goes back to the first point....everything needs set up/tuned correctly for the entirely different setup.
We found the air leak to be caused by the breather system, so now idles as it should do.
I am fully aware the vehicle needs setting up, but whats the point in paying a tuner x amount of time to find and fix an issue we can do, before hand
Thanks for your input
