hi guys new to the site. recently picked up a bog standard 89 gl estate with a carbed twincam engine. only 69k genuine miles. in need of a little tlc but for the £900 i paid for it i dont think i done too bad. needs a little cosmetic work paint wise but bodywise its essentially rot free.
currently on jack stands getting a front and rear suspension overhaul and the engines getting a little work specifically some gaskets and a carb rebuild. oil is a little milky but im hoping its because its been laid up.
plans are to fit roof rails. fit a set of 17" peugeot 3008 steel wheels and a set of 4 spot lamps on the front. should make for a interesting looking car when done as there is hardly any estates on the road here in northern ireland.
if anyone is breaking a strato silver estate let me know as im after a few bits and pieces

 

Looks pretty good for £900. Fairly unusual to find an estate. Should make a good project for you.
