Ex rod tarry cosworth is finally home with me 😁😁
been sorting bits and pieces on it, but managed to get some timing done, at 2.4 bar which is about 730 hp
I managed 80-120 mph in 3.3 seconds 3rd gear grip all the way
And also a 100-200 kph time of 5.8 seconds, but I had to use 2nd and 3rd gear for this and 2nd gear was lots of wheelspin so gotta try new tyres and warmer tarmac to see how much that helps
Out of interest, i seen Adam filmed an 850hp Evo 9 whilst at MAD, was the evo on the exact same 9180 turbo or was it bigger? I assume the evo was on race fuel

I asked mark it's on pump with water/meth injection
are you running traction control carl ,or how well does the diff lock up?
It does have traction control but I've decided not to have it active, it's hard on the engine as it needs to cut alot of power to stop all wheelspin, and it's way more fun driving it on the throttle mate.
60 mph onwards In 3rd gear it clean hooks, 2nd gear it's sort of spin and go it's great fun just need headgasket to last longer 🤣😂
Diff works perfectly pic is of a quick diff test I did down my road
i would have thought the emtron you could dial in the amount of slip you wanted to go with like on the motec carl .at least you were able to keep the car in a straight line carl lol

Most likely but I love it just being man and machine abs is all I need 😁😁
carl by any chance have you a pic of how your diff is mounted from the beam to the floor mate ?
I could only find this one
Diff is solid mounted to the beam, it's pretty full in there no room to do anything I don't think, havnt noticed any vibrations though not from the back
thanks carl.i got my beam today and i see that the diff bolts to the beam .is the beam then bolted to the floor ?
Cars at marks having engine done but I think it's solid mounted to the original mounting point, I don't think there's any room to have a rubber mount in there.
I've not noticed any vibrations from rear, feels good, only vibration issue I've had is from engine mounts and gearbox mount
thats great to know thanks carl .i was concerned it would vibrate badly if solid mounted .i was considering making a recess in the floor to take a mount as it does look tight

That is a good idea mate I hadn't thought of doing it chassis side, while I don't feel any vibration from the rear I have had to tighten alot of bolts around the diff and rear beam as they had come loose, but they've stayed tight so far since I torqued them all up, I'd guess couple hundred miles so far I've done
