Default Replacing the cam belt

I'm planning to replace the cam belt on my recently acquired 1987 Series 2. Any helpful tips, please?

How is access? Any secrets to removing the crank pulley? How about setting tension?

Any advice appreciated.

It really is one of the easiest cambelts to change out there.
Access is adequate, I tend to work exclusively from the top. Crank pulley shouldn't be problematic - its woodruff'd so nobody should have gone OTT on tightening it, therefore it should crack off without too much hassle. Tension can be set by hand, just hold and pull the tensioner and then tighten up. Ensure the belt can be twisted ~90degrees at the middle of its longest run (front of engine), rotate the cam/crank a couple of times (by hand!) and re-check.
These can be done in less than 30mins easily, but as its obv your first one, just take your time. Its not difficult, but equally its not something you want to get wrong

In case you don't have a Haynes/guide:

Some of the stuff like having a special ford tool for setting tension really aren't an issue
