Have a sierra 1.8TD, already fitted a VW 1.9TDI PD engine but for several reasons i returned to the original 1.8td engine. But today i gave it a bit more power and the engine blew up! Maybe head gastet or something related...

Im planing this:
-1.8TD endura de block to fit sierra;
-Focus 1.8 TDDI pistons;
- Focus 1.8 TDDI Engine head;
- VAG injection from a 2002 Leon ASV
-Focus 1.8 tddi injectors or machined head to fit vag injection.

What do you think about?
It may seems a litle crazy but if works will be nice to use stock engine to build some good power.

I know old 1.8td heads are not good as they crack, does newer tddi/tdci have the same problem?

the old sierra 1.8td engines are good motors.. Got one with about 200k on it never missed a beat.. you can turn boost and pump up on them but it depends what your trying to do ?

 

big power, really big power! 200/250bhp maybe!

I already had that mods and the engine died

 

how many miles were on engine tho before mods etc

 

its a low mile engine, aroud 80k
