As above really, can anyone tell me the type/types of bulbs in the instrument cluster as imsure there are a couple and if there are led versions anyone has fitted to improve the brightness.

 

I've always found that LEDs don't spread the light well enough in the old mk4 clusters so you get this weird cascade of brighter spots (amazing how much it changes the green in the cluster tho) so I've always returned to traditional bulbs. Just fitting new ones of those can make a big difference tho
Sizes - I forget every time, so just pull them out and then do some quick googling

 

I fitted led’s after someone else fitted them and told me how good they were. I bought the exact ones they did as they were quite specific.
After fitting and testing in my garage I removed them immediately as they were terrible.
Stick to normal incandescent lamps.
