Im in australia as you may have guessed, are there still decent parts to be found in wrecking yards in the UK anymore? been 15 yrs since i lived there. Any help on companies to source parts at would be amazing. Places to buy new parts even.

hi were i am in uk there isnt any scrap yards no more there all like emr etc... You will need a breakers that deals in just escorts or fords there are a few knockn about in uk..

 

Unfortunately here in the UK the days of going to the scrap yard to get car parts for the older Fords are long gone! There are places where you may be able to get parts but it is a matter of trawling the internet to see what is available.There is a big Ford spares place in Germany called Motomobil who do keep a lot of parts for various Fords.Have a look on their website.I used to live in Adelaide and years ago you could go to the scrap yards there to get parts for my 1600E Cortina and my V6 Capri.

 

My MK3 Escort pop was a rust box in 1989. Sills and wheel arches in particular. Then it got an odd leak from the bulkhead behind the battery into the passenger footwell that required lots of awkward metalwork.

Yeah think i was wishfull thinking , but seems same as in australia while some wreckers are still about u pull it and others, getting the older small ford stuff non existant, im in adelaide, getting parts for mk4 impossible here but its adelaide right ha. I dumped my ford eeciv for ecumaster, more its less ford easier to work on later a.

 

I am not sure what parts you are after but I just looked on Google and quite a few places come up saying they have parts for the Escort RS turbo. Have a look and contact them and you may get lucky.
