Probably something like an old 1950s style Ford F100 truck?

yes, they were originally LHD, but the mods required to anything to put that Chevy 1000+bhp engine into would mean swapping to RHD easy

Perhaps some Aussie stuff ?

I'd think more of the overall package, than simply what car it might fit. A lot, of old Fords are pretty s..........

big ask with a big block as when I ran one in my mk1 capri I had to have the engine bay space framed in period materials back in the 90s, but a zodiac has a giant engine bay or one of these old buses this one was running a 2.9 twin turbo technics conversion and still had loads of room

all sorts for sale here

https://www.facebook.com/groups/359640871382421
But yes, it's as much about a drivetrain that can take power, as well as the chassis and simple engine fitment.

In lieu of the links not working, one was an old pickup truck US style, but it was RHD. Or an old XJS jag ? would certainly be cheaper than an E-Type. And both likely as full of rust lol

Don't know how nice they'd actually be to drive, but that pickup looks cool as fuck.

E-type would be better for a resto though really given their potential value.

As much as I like cutting up and swapping engines....probably not the best thing to do with the Jag

Would be taking a good look at all aspects of teh RHD conversion though to ensure it is done well. Dash looks pretty decent from the photos. But likes of pedal mounts, steering parts etc.

Jag is a cat n write off dash fire so a good chunk of value gone, at right price would be awesome I reckon, zz632 e type 🤣😂

But that Chevy 3100 truck I'm sure engine will bolt straight in and even straight upto the th350 in stock location.
Which I like the idea of nice and simple, will need custom headers making but that's about it to make it work

The truck would certainly be easier as you say, less custom work needed. I'd imagine it would need a proper built transmission too. Would be nice with a modern 8 speed.

Although 1000hp would be nice...by time it's all done, it'd be expensive.

710hp and comfort would also be nice lol

For simplicity of fitting an old american pick up would be good but how would the handling be with over 1000bhp on tap?

Probably awful.....but it would be a point and squirt kinda thing as opposed to needing "handling".

Although I'd definitely want good brakes and sensible wheels/tyres etc

Looks ideal for that awesome zz632 motor to go in!! I reckon you should get a good price for the existing V8 to help offset the cost of the new engine. The engine bay on the old yank pick up trucks are huge and there are no british or european cars that can compare. You have made a good choice to see what the new zz632 will be capable of. Are you going to do the work on it yourself ? It seems the Tesla thing that you were getting excited about has given way to a good old fashioned petrol V8!!! Great to see and good luck with the project!!!

Yeah I thought wanting rhd have luckily fallen straight on the ideal chassis for old school cool and ease of fitment.
I will likely fit engine myself, but will need custom headers making as headers can't be bought for the new RSX heads there a whole new design.

Sold my Capri and Chrysler as lost interest in them and bought something I am Interested in with the money 👌

Electric I've decided once the q7 is sold will get an electric everyday replacement for that, battery's need useing and chargeing constantly so only makes sense to have electric as a daily car buddy 👍

Do you have a fabricator in mind to make the new headers? Fair play if you want an electric car for every day use but for gutsy, exciting motoring stay with the big petrol V8s!!!!

Craig at Dyno Torque is an excellent fabricator, and has certainly done a ton of LS conversions, as well as many others.

I'd say that sort of thing overall would be more up his alley
