Hi all, want to backfill my oil pump as no pressure or oil coming out turbo feed when cranking .was fitted new early 2021 only just got engine cranking though have spun it by hand a few time previous,some posts say down the centre of oil filter others the side holes, anyone on here actually done it? Thanks

 

I've had all these worries years ago after building engines, flattening battery's cranking engines to death on the starter waiting for oil pressure to build up, some engines just wouldn't do it, but once started almost instant oil pressure, I just start them now and have done for many years no issues

I did have a low pressure situation few weeks ago but new oil pump needed relief valve adjustment

 

Ha ha looks a bit of a monster that one, thought about just starting it , just not had this before.thanks for a reply bud

 

i read an old post on here about a pinto rebuild what matey said he did was intresting. to prime the oil system cam feeds etc he took the timming belt off whiped out the dizzi and put an electric drill on the hex drive that drives the oil pump that sticks up slightly from the block as the oil pump is driven from the dizzi
