Default Any structural/material strenght differences between the prefacelift and facelift MK2

Hello lads,

I was wondering whether there are any structural differences in the bodyshell and differences in general in the passive safety(crumple zones, door strengthening) between the Ford Sierra MK2 pre-facelift(with the blanked-off grille) and the facelifted version(with the grille between the headlights)? There must be still some differences in the thickness of the body shell between the two, mustn't it? I would be very grateful if someone can elaborate upon it!
Cheers
Cossie

The modern safety features you are talking about were not around when Ford were building Sierra models. If there were any differences between various models they would have been hardly noticeable.

There are no structural difference between any of the mk2 versions. The Cosworth 4x4 did have some reinforcements around the front and rear struts though.
