Default Suspension

Hi guys. My 3 door has what looks like Koni shocks which have been modified to coilovers on the front and back of the car. The rears are leaking and need replacing. I was going to go down the coilover route again but I am having 2nd thoughts. I have been advised to use adjustable Koni shocks with standard springs to get back as close to the original suspension and ride height. I have had rubbing issues on the car since I have owned it. What with that and the general condition of our roads, gaining a little height and a softer ride seems to make sense. Has anybody out there gone down the route I am thinking of taking?. Your comments would be appreciated.

Hi if you wanted a good used set of Koni's and springs i have just replaced mine with Gaz Gold coilovers on my 3dr. My springs are Ahmed (RIP) 3dr specific in the track spec but work very well on the road in my opinion. I bought directly from him at grove several years ago.
I haven't been able to drive it far yet on the Golds (in and out of the garage but had a problem) as converting to 6 degree rear beam and waiting on Anembo to do some work on my trailing arms.
I think the Golds will deliver better damping control and i wanted a bit more adjustability hence the change.
what wheels do you have that are causing the rubbing issues?
i think a nice low ride height on the original 15's with 10mm spacers at the back really suits it.
On the other hand i know how you feel I trimmed my arches a few years back to squeeze my comp CXN's on.
