processing fibre glass bumpers.
Hi peeps,
I have a fibre glass bumper apron to go onto the rear bumper of my mk6 fiesta but it needs some work to get it to fit properly. Is there any specific method of processing fibre glass or is a block and sandpaper efficient enough? There is a section on the back that needs flatting down equally all around.
Would it be more simple to do the work on the bumper below rather than sand/process the fibre glass?
Your help, experience and comments are welcome. Thanks.

If your trying to bond (smooth in) glass fibre to plastic it wont ever work it will crack as there move differnt in heat etc.. you could try it with the plastic type bumper fillers u can get these days from paint shops
As for bonding I buy this rubberised glue that is for side skirts and body kits, it seals and bonds. Called speedbond, from ebay seller. It is excellent.
Have had success with a front apron which needed minimal prep work.
