KA RU8 Titanium Heated Seats in a Studio spec
Hi all,
I posed elsewhere too, trying to get as much information as possible.
I have a KA mk2 RU8. Last year I installed some heated leather seats from a breaking Titanium.
The seats are lovely and I want to get the heat element to work, as I know they were working in the old car.
Does someone have experience with this on a KA or other Ford? The on/off switch is on the seat itself and the wiring is hanging down from the seat with connector. I don't imagine the wiring will be in situ under the carpet already but could be wrong? I heard a MK1 KA having this tho.
I also hear from another forum that it needs a new relay to work and the BCM or GEM needs to be updated using the OBDII port with a laptop and ForScan software to reprogramme the cars BCM/GEM.
Any other views will be much appreciated
