I've just fitted MSD wasted spark to my YB Dax, it started 1st time running a bit lumpy when asked for revs, i dont know how many as rev counter not working but i'd say about 3k, i decided to run it a little to see what it would be like under load. After restarting it seemed very smooth and drove spot on until i hit a bump and lost 2 cylinders.
It had lost cylinders 2 and 3, i changed the ignition amp plugs over and it ran on 4 cylinders again until the next bump which dropped it back to 2. Now losing 1 and 4, i changed amp plugs over again but now it will only run on 2 cylinders, the 2 being run from pin 26.
I've opened up the ECU thinking my crap soldering had fallen off but its all still in place.
I re used my original ignition amp which works when plugged to pin 26?
There was no coil suppressor as its a kit car with no radio. The green wire to/from coil was already joined together.
A couple of times when turning on the ignition it sounded like it was sparking unburnt fuel in the cylinders? It's push button start.
I've tried to answer some of the obvious questions i see in similar posts.
Obviously the soldering on the back is my main worry, to hot damaged wires, or damaged circuitry.
