Adams Rotrax (Some sort of Frankenstein's Monster)
Hi all, new to the forum here.
Thought I would share something you might not see everyday, and possibly for good reason.
I mostly dabble with motorbikes, but one late night browsing Ebay, I found this and couldn't resist having a go as a project: The Adams Rotrax Kit Car
It's a fiberglass tub mounted on a spaceframe chassis, with a pinto engine and running gear from a MK3/4 Cortina (as far as online sources say)
Typically I would buy a Haynes manual before working on a vehicle, but as they only made around 100 of these, no luck.
Having done a bit of research online, the interior looks distinctly Sierra. This has me questioning what exactly I have under the bonnet.
Are there any tell tale things to look at that might give it away? Could any of you lovely experts help me ID exactly what it is from the photo's, so I can start ordering parts and getting her back to being roadworthy? (All of the suspension bushings are shot, and the hub bearings sound like a jar of marbles )
The block is a 205 and it has EFI, along with having 5 gears, if that helps in any way to narrow it down.
Can't for the life of me find a fluid reservoir that matches this, Cortina, Sierra or Escort!
