Default lights on warning buzzer

Hi guys, does anyone know if the lights left on warning bell when opening the door, is covered by a fuse as mine on my MK2.5 focus has stopped working?

Does the interior light work off the drivers door?

Might be a door ajar switch fault or broken wires to a pillar.

Hi GVK, yes the interior light does come on when door opens.

HI MGMIDGET, thanks for reply, you say check switch, not being familiar with the layout of the car and checking manual could you possibly enlighten me as to where the switch is located.

A few weeks ago my front foglights stopped working the fuse was ok, so i took the headlight switch out i had to take off bottom panel drivers side then above the switch is a airvent that needed to be removed just pops off underneath was some screws took them out and whole switch comes out. i found the wire by going through the haynes mauakl worth its weieght in gold put multimeter across the terminals hey presto front fogs back now i didnt notice if the buzzer had stopped working i took the switch to bits has i couldnot get the same switch as being rare as rocking horse poo tryed ebay waste time looked at the tube lol found video how to dissasemble switch put the switch back together no bits left over lol pushed the switch pins into the conector and i noticed black charred plastic on 1 pin obviously the pin drawed to much current and melted some of the connector plug i cleanded it off the pin and plug and everythink worked a treat try the switch check the pins for black melted crap
