Default Focus WDS

Hi,

I have the common dash problem on a MK1 Focus.

I have tried to repair it to no avail and don't really want to send it off, would rather just buy a second hand one.

My question is does anyone have access to Ford WDS, or other third party tools, so I can reprogram the mileage?

Don't really want to buy one, just for this one off task if I can borrow

TIA

Martin

I don't think WDS/IDS can change the mileage on a s/h cluster only a new one, once.

Thanks, guess it means I'll be stuck with the mileage I have.

It makes sense due to 'clocking' but it happens, so it makes me think there must be a way of doing it.

Must be third party tools to do it, I have no experience in them though.

Have another cluster now, but the mileage is much higher.

Consensus seems to be, you can increment the mileage, but not decrement.

There must be ways of doing it though, I have seen it on Watchdog

The mileage is stored in an EEPROM, so will try and access that.
