Default Turbo blankets

Hi all,

What are your thoughts on turbo blankets? Just got an S112 from turbo technics (t34 with 0.55 housing), it's quite a lot bigger than my previous turbo and right by the engine now, wondering if a turbo blanket was a good idea?

Thanks

Matt

If this is on a cossie then as long as you have the standard or aftermarket heat shield then you won't need a turbo blanket.
Heard mix stories on them, some say great others say they kill turbos due to holding to much heat. If you are going to buy one then spend the extra for a decent on as heard cheap ones don't last

Thanks for this mate...its on a cossie engine but not in an actual sierra or escort, no heat shield at all that I can see, do you have a link to one?

Yeah was thinking of the funk motorsport blanket which is Ł160 but I called turbo technics and they dont advise one...

Thanks for your help! Any chance you might also know where to get a cam belt cover too?
