Hmmm this is progress isn't it, wonder who decided its ok to let cars have front lights turned on dash lit up,but no rear lights on, the amount of newish cars ive seen at night like this is ridiculous.... saw one about an hour ago aswell....

Last week i was having a scoot about on my scooter streethawk style at night... And I saw a newish small new car driving towards me, I noticed no rear lights on, so I thought i`ll follow them and let em know, being on my scoot it`s dead easy to whizz round and follow, anyway followed this car, they went in to a cul de sac, they stopped, I stopped, passenger door opened, a lady started to get out, I said, Hi, did you know you`re driving round with no back lights on, to which she said, what !!!,it`s just had an mot, i then saw the drivers hand reach for a switch on the dash, the rear lights came on, I said they are on now, they said thanks, and I scooted off...

Madness.....next we`ll have wipers that dont turn on if it rains, that might catch on....

 

yeah its how they are set up now, dash lights and running lights most of the time. Complete stupidity and a cause for a lot of accidents.

 

Lol a bird nearlly wiped me out cutting across 3 lanes on a roundabout I let that go but had a word at the lights her bloke giving it big man " big man she ain't even got any lights on" screaming his head off yes she fkn has pointing at the dash then he got out and looked didnt say fuck all just got back in 😂😂👍

 

This is down to the Day light running lights being so bright that most people don't no they don't have the lights on as they can see and be seen from the front so the assume that lights are on.

I have a Range Rover Sport and the rears come on at the same time during the day but it's not a issue for me as the lights are left on auto so at the times when light fades the main lights come on.

DRL's should be set up with auto lights as so many cars drive with no rear lights lite.

 

I came across a new fiesta on an unlit dual carriageway one night when it was absolutely pissing it down. Tried to let him know at a roundabout but he either didnt hear what I was shouting when beeping got him to put his window down or thought i was wrong and sped off. It was really hard to see the car from the rear in the conditions. If someone's beeping at you at night then checking the obvious should be second nature, if he didnt know then that probably means he always drives without them on. Some useless tw*ts out there.

 

Front only DRL's are one of the most stupid recent ideas car makers have come up with...although no doubt it was some EU moron who thought it up.

Of course the police are equally to blame here. They should be stopping all of these motorists and charging them with dangerous driving. If a driver is so incompetent they cannot operate their lights, they clearly should not have a license or be allowed to try to be in control of any vehicle on a public road.

 

Problem with that is the police (Not traffic, only local ones) round my way drive with them off as well.......

Actually sat behind one flashing my main beams until he put his blues on, pulled over and came to “have a word with me” to which I pointed out his error and said that I could either have done what I did or report Him with my dash camera evidence and have him get points for “driving without due care and attention”.

At that point, he actually apologised, got in his patrol car, turned the lights on and drove off.

 

The lazy ignorant, twats who drive around in the dark with only one front headlight working or one headlight stuck on high beam piss me off!! You cannot tell me that they don't realise they have only got one light!!! They probably just keep driving around like that until it's nearly MOT time and then spend the couple of quid and 10 minutes of their time to put a new bulb in which they could have done months before!!!

 

Some people arnt bothered as long as there car gers them from a to b. I see loads of drivers with a front light out. So they put there fog lights on instead.

 

They're probably oblivious that their fog lights are on.
