Does anyone know if you can fit the 2.3 mazda mps turbo engine into a mk1 escort? It's a duratec and I believe the sump will need changed and it can bolt onto a mx5 gearbox or get a bellhousing and use a type 9. Are there any more issues and changes to make to get it up and running? Seems to be a good way in getting 250bhp. Thanks

 

Yes you can but you will need a retro ford fiting kit and it’s not cheap

 

I've got the chance to buy a very low milage one compete with turbo for £800.just trying to work out if it will work and how much it would cost compared to a 2.0 duratec installation? Thanks
