mobile welder needed in berkshire area
looking for a cheapest possible welder so guessing a mobile welder would be the cheapest? anyone know any in the berkshire or surrounding area?
Yes, I can attest to this from my recent experience.
They are few and far between, factor geography into that and it's a case of beggars can't be choosers.
The guy I had was nice and worked solidly, whilst he could not get to an area as the suspension was in the way, it did not excuse the work elsewhere, which I would describe as splatter with bits of MIG wire hanging from it in places
Also, be aware of the fact that a lot of these guys are not car restoration specialists, rather generic welders.
Really it all comes down to what you need doing. Is it an MOT repair, or a restoration?

oh how id love to restore my fiesta mk5 lol got some nice zetec s bumpers and side skirts never had the chance to put on the car yet as well (got the alloys on) but sadly in this climate my budget it be simply to keep on the road to get me to A to B maybe in far future if i get the funds id love to restore it give it a zetec s look with the bumpers i have... as they becoming rare to find now.
Robsters Realise money is tight at the moment but if the welding is required to get it through the MOT it will still need to be done properly. Read about the problems martysmartie had with his "cheap" mobile welder.
Just buy another one, they are still available cheap.
