Hi guys,

Been through restoring my sierra sapphire. Passed its MOT after all the work I've completed on it recently but the boot lock isn't working. It's not staying in a lock position...... So I need a replacement.

Has anyone got one or know where to get one ?

Once replaced I can start using it! Been waiting 14 years to get it out!!

 

I’ve got a boot lock with key unless you want to change tumblers inside

I'll take a picture when I'm down the garage later to be sure it's the right one.

 

Hi yeah it's the boot lock with the key. Seems like it's seized so it's not pushing the lock to unlock when you press it in.

 

Does anyone know if this is the right part for the saph boot?

It is a pre 90's model so the boot lock is a push button lock, rather than the new model which was electronically done if i'm right.

here is what I need. I have found a few on eBay but they have an addition latch I don't need and a white plastic latch. Guessing those were for the hatch backs or estate cars

 

Finally found a boot lock from some guy on eBay, willing to break a lock set. Didn't fancy paying £150 for a full set of locks when I only need the boot lock 😂.
