It seems the standard fuel filter EFG84 is no longer available

(At least Burtons, Graham Goode and MSD listings, who all post easily overseas).

If this is the case, what is an alternate fuel filter that fits into the standard cradle, with correct specs?

It's still sold by german companies like Mann, Knecht and Mahle. And I'm sure you'll get the same from Bosch, too.

Problem is thread size. I think cossie fuel filter is M14 both sides. Most universal filters, one side is M12 and the other side is M14.

 

I prefer to know!

M12/M14 are Escort MFI ones...
