ok i can browse files on pda from laptop and from laptop to pda, i can also remote control my laptop wirelessly.

however, as with all other terminal sevice remote sessions, it logs off current user while in remote control mode.

what i would like to do, is control the laptops AUDIO from the pda, wirelessly, as if up garden or gettin ready 2 go out or summat, i can change the tune thats playing (as I have laptop connected to my home audio system)

any ideas peeps



also found u can change it to a tv/vid/satellite remote which is voice activated

terminal services allways logs off a current user

only way you will get it not to is install windows server 2000 or server 2003

as it can support multiple connections

 

You need a piece of software called media control server, I have the install file if you want me to mail it to you,

mate of mine said sommat about some software called "reodeo" or "roedeo"

he couldnt remember how to spell it and i cant find owt with putting anything like that into google.

as per craigN, XP remote desktop is just a "cheap n cheerfull" version of terminal services... they have to give you some incentive to buy the server versions of the OSes!
