Hi all.

Side decals on my XR3 are that from a Ghia model? I am guessing after looking around, my logbook states xr3 and all the numbers match. Does anyone know if choice of side decal would have been an option from the dealer back in the day.. I've got a sales brochure period correct but doesn't have anything in here covering these options..

I want to keep car original as poss after full restoration, so, question is... is this original.. any mad ford fans advice welcome.

Hi, I remember back in the 90s when I used to have loads of mk3 escorts that the xr3 used to come with so many different decals, I thought I had seen them all and then came another one with different ones on. Yours looks familiar but can't say if for defo.

 

take a look on sites like DMB graphics as they reproduce ford gels and strips under official licence from ford

 

Thanks Steve. I did look but they only have the Ghia triple stripe and rs stuff

if you look closely at mine above, you can see a couple of stickers under the rear quater window, they are both sides.. looks like it could have been like something in picture below

my theory maybe that these doors were replaced and from a Ghia and whoever, maybe just left it and added the extra... on wings etc... or maybe this came from ford like this...
