Hi Folks,
Does anybody know whether it is necessary to put the circlip back in on the RH drive shaft located in the front diff housing on the 4 x 4 Saphire when you reassemble. I cant see that it does anything and it prevents you from replacing the diff oil pan cover with sealant etc before you put the engine back in the car. Much easier to do it with the engine out! Cheers.

 

I think a lot are left out. It was when I opened my front diff and at the time many People said it is likely not to be there.

 

Most people don't use circlip. It's a lot easier to remove driveshaft..
