Hello all. I've started to strip down my sapphire rolling shell over the Corona virus lockdown(will start a thread soon). Like most it has plenty of rust that needs sorting. I have got my hands on outer, inner and centre sill panels and majority of the rest is just patch repairs but there are 2 other areas I'm going to have trouble with. The sunroof bowl and roof is rotten so will need to replace the roof and there is a reinforcement panel behind the drivers side wing that I will need to replace. Any idea can this panel be got new or am I looking at cutting one off another shell?

 

Highly unlikely you will be able to source any new panels from Ford anymore sadly, there is a company over in Germany iirc called Motor Mobil they do a few repair panels for older Fords, there is a company over here who specialise in Sierras up Manchester way, they are on eBay user name “sierras r us” they cut a lot of decent usable panels from cars they break so they may be able to assist you, another company “expressed steel panels” also on eBay fabricate panels for classic cars another lead worth looking into. Thanks Charlie. I work for ford and parts are impossible to get now. I tried moto mobil and have sourced some parts that I need but not that reinforcement panel. I will contact sierras r us and see can they cut one off a shell. Lots of wedding ahead😁
