open 'my computer', right click on your cd drive and left click on 'eject'. If that dont work, try a hammer

if that fails (before hitting with a hammer) try turning the laptop off and back on again. then try ejecting.

sitck a paperclip in the small hole in the side of the drive and you can open it manually.

Is there a tiny pinhole anywhere on the cover of the cd drive? If so, extend a paperclip and push it in et voila. This is the case on 99% of normal cd drives but i'm not sure about laptops..

try the cd in again it may have just been stuck. If it doesnt work just use the pin hole trick till you can get it sorted

Ummmmm i'm telling you broke it

it shouldnt take too long to get repaired they will just take the drive out whole and replace it. Dont know the procedure with Dell though if you cna just take it somewhere it wounnt take 10 mins to swap the drives over.
