Hi new to this the page I’ve got a 1988 mk2 fiesta 1,1L that I want to swap the engine but I can’t decide what engine to put init I like the idea of a 1.6 turbo cvh from the escort rs turbo or do I jusy do the 1.8 escort swap what the best engine my car is complete stripped out it’s only got the dash and 2 seats

 

The 2L Zetec is virtually a straight swap in terms of the engine itself.

What about the gearbox and the drive shafts

 

MK2 gearbox will bolt right on. But you'll have to lower the whole engine/gearbox unit as it is in XR2 models.
