was riding me motorbike last night enjoying meself cus i just bought it the night before and was the first outing of many ( i had hoped ) this summer.

so im riding along doing 40-45mph ( wearing a helmet thank fook ) when the gate i had just come though decides to close before my very eyes with a little help from some wind
so i bailed off the bike deciding i was going to hit something wotever and the bike would only make it worse.
so i proceed to hit the gate side on ( body was in a jumping angle at a guess 40-50 degrees ) and hit the edge of the gate side on side on and it didnt move at all
heard a crack, then ended up on the floor rolled round for a bit in a puddle trying to get some air when another bigger crake is heard then i gasped some air ( hooorahh ) so i waddle off to get a cup off tea before the A&E visit. then when to hospital

in total two broken ribs severe bruising to my shoulder, arm, cheast, short of breath and i might get a collapesed lung yet

six weeks minimum of nothing not happy

 

Ouch but at least you saw the funny side of it

cheeRS ppl, yeah was funny as worst bit is i have 1 can of beer and i cant drink till i get off the pain killers which could be six weeks bugger

bike is still in good shape that landed ina bush

 

Was gonna as about the bike, but am glad your ok first off!

How did you manage to hit a gate you had just came through? Was out on the road then or something?

the gate was open but on my return it blew shut about 5 metres before i was going to go through it

I fell off a skateboard last week whilst showing the kids i could still do it

Kids very concerned but the Mrs thought it very funny

Nerly broke my wrist - massive bruise & geazed my arm

No choice but to PMSL

when ur feeling better go take a sledge hammer to that bloody gate

I had a nasty encounter with a gate on my mountain bike recently. Riding along a trail in the woods that i've riden loads before, came round a downhill bend and there was a gate there (recently put up)...I had no choice but to crash into it and vault over the fence and down the hill

3 broken ribs, fractured wrist and lots of bruises.

Totally buggered my front wheel as well

But, it's only fun until somebody falls off. Then its hilarious

 

Hope it wasn't your Garden Gate, thats dare devil speeds trying to get through one of those at 45mph! rofl
