I have had mk5-mk6 2004 and 2006 1.4 tdci's with all requiring the copper injector washers doing but none of them ever coming out the garage any better or in most cases worse than they went in. I now have a 2009 mk6-mk7 which has a knock and loud tappet noise, i can also smell fuel in start up, so i am expecting the seals again but did not know if this is the same engine as the earlier ones, the layout looks slightly different and therefore was hoping that it was a newer engine which cost less to have this job done on ?.

Also, does the symptoms sound like the injector seals ?

They have always cost around £200 supply and fit to be done and having bad experience everytime done i.e came out smoking, came out with no power, came out with all clips etc that were touched broken.

Anyone recommend anyone in Essex Area ?
