hi yes there have a long plastic part that pop rivets to wing as front part of skirt hooks over it.. there hard to find like but i know on ebay someone 3d prints them now for about 30/40 pair and if you take a bit time on them there work fine mate. you could try double side tapen them on but if there twisted in any way there will pull off in time you no

I'm struggling to find a Pic and thread on which is the correct position and side to fitting these brackets. I saw this one only and am asking? @ robrs2 are these these a reproduction or earlier type model parts
I have a pic of original set which I'm trying to mock up and not sure if its the right way around? I've also taken measurements as ref for the opposing side.
I don’t have the measurements but I could check mine. If the brackets have ford on there original. I have made some replacements but they look slightly different to the ford ones
okay I manage to get the other one out and took pics
they are both original Ford apec ones. This one has a small crack but, nothing CA cant fix.
So my question again is: which is front and which is back. The way interpret is, that the side with the logos and numbering must be facing or mounted onto the body (surface to surface) because of the clamping force of the screw/bolt head.
The other side (non info) with the channel needs to be facing outward.
Am I correct in saying that? If not, is there a gasket or some sort of tape that goes onto that channel?
The hook of the bracket fits to the wing. So the top photo is how it is fitted on to the wing.
These are my replacements fit the same but look a little different. If you have a wing indicator fitted measure 24.2 centimetres down and thats the top of the bracket or 14.2 centimetres from the bottom swage line on the wing.
from the top edge of the bracket the should be 3.4 centimetres at the front and 1.5 centimetres gaps.
The wing body kit when fitted is 12.5 centimetres from the bottom swage line.
Measurements are approximate.
Sorry I didn't reply sooner as I first had to try and been busy with work in the week. I did make use of your dimensions on the RHS skirt, but i couldn't see what the measurement was from the edge of the arch to the first arrow on the left?
It didn't turn out 100 percent perfect fitment and alignment but almost as I think I may have started back to front. I started with the main skirt so the doors would clear, then tried to align the bracket and front skirt to match the gaping / spacing of the door between the 2 skirts. Its not 100 percent straight but close I think. Not even sure what thickness of the gap needs to be? At the moment the main skirt has no adjustment yet and the front skirt has some slight adjustment but not much. I have a slight plan to make it adjustable but for now it looks clean without the adjustments.
When hard fitting the bracket, I managed to get it on they way I wanted with rivet nuts and 3 fasteners etc but man, its so bloody difficult to get the front skirt on and off the bracket and in place, is this normal? I feel like when taking the front skirt off, I'm going to rip or snap the bracket even when doing it carefully and slowly. What is the technique here?
I also ended up drilling and rivet nutting the top edge of the sill to hold and push down the main skirt for door clearances
I've have not seen any clear fitment instructions for this kit. I take it that back in the day, the factory had template overlays on where to drill the holes and position the skirts etc
I think on the LHS might be better to start with the front skirt fitment and the run the main skirt afterwards.
