Exclamation 2006 Focus 2L TDCI - Limp Mode issue?!

Hi there,

I've been searching through the forums to find issues similar, however, I have found their either the issue I'm having with my car isn't the same as the post and/or the OP doesn't put an update up!

With that said - here is the issue with my car:
Whilst driving, it sometimes will drop into limp mode without warning or without and dashboard lights coming up. From that point onwards, I can accelerate slowly up until 2800 revs and then I'm limited. As I've mentioned - this doesn't happen on every drive.

This happened earlier in the year and I had a boost pressure sensor code come up - swapped the part with my brother (he has the same car) and the issue remained. I then got the AA out and the guy fiddled around with something down the front of my engine and said that the turbo was sticking and he released it - however, it was my understanding that the turbo valve wasn't down the front of my engine?

Other things to note
- I have had the turbo flushed through and cleaned (which helped last year for a couple of months), the engine pressure checked and it's been given the OK and put cleaner in with the diesel (RedEx).
- The car has been pretty hard to start in the mornings and this has only been since the temperatures have dropped below 10c (one day when it was 3c I was turning the car over until I heard a bleep, stopped and tried again and it worked on the second time after a while - I wait until the glow plug sign is no longer illuminated)

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated and if you have any questions - let me know and I'll get back to you ASAP!

Cheers,
Barry
