Can anyone tell me which direction the bar that holds the clutch and brake pedal in esc cos should go?

Towards heater box or towards drivers side (rhd)

I've removed both the locking clips but cant seem to move it at all!

theres a locking clip inside aswell

I got 2 removed, one was on outside at heater side, and one was in around the brake pedal I think, cant see any more?
