Came across this video just recently posted on youtube and it's very interesting to listen to Julians experiences with high hp yb engines

 

Good info and Julian is a master with the YB as well as being a really nice chap, i'm pleased i went ductile wet liners now with my cast block

 

He is a good bloke Julian and very very clever and loves his yb fiesta

I wish i had the knowledge thats for sure. Just out of curiosity your screen name did that used to be a private plate on a nova sport back in the 90s that used to run about abdn beach on a weekend??

Do people still use a billet sump and bolt the main caps through the outside? I assume this is for the extremes and therefore you may just go Smith and Jones ally at that point?

Probably an option on existing yb,s toby I find the coopers rings interesting also you dont really see anybody else offering that or see it In specs, he and harvey had alot of input in the mk2 design of the s&j yb explains the through the main caps nicely saw a post on fb about ken block doing an s&j think it was in the fiesta reason being wet sump starved of oil during donuts lol
