Default Fiesta Mk3 first car

Hi all, let me know if this is not the right thing to post, forums aren’t my forte!
I was just wondering as I’m close to getting a mk3 fiesta 1.1 sapphire 5dr as my first car (slightly late to the game I’m now 20), what the best options are in terms of modding and as a general project. At the minute it’s in decent nick, just needs a new starter motor, the current owner has treasured it.
I’ve already been told about swapping a 2.0 zetec turbo in to it for silly power, which I’ll do over time not immediately.. for insurance, but other than that I’ve no idea what’ll be best to stop it, suspension etc etc. I’m not exactly blessed with the greatest 90s ford knowledge but thought I’d use a mk3 my initiation. any advice and recommendations will be greatly appreciated!!

Keep it original, get some no claims bonus up together and save money for something worth modifying. Get yourself a nice mk7 ST in 3 or 4 years. The mk3 fiesta is a rare thing now, rust free original examples are going up in value.

Okay thanks, I’m meant to be agreeing on around £300 for it since it’s MOT has expired, price surprised me but it is immaculate and no rust at all, can't even tell it’s 25 years old.
