Hi guy's,
I think the seal might have gone on my turbo. I noticed a high pitched whining before the turbo kicked in and when I looked out of the back window it was like a smoke screen behind me. Over 2000 revs it seems to clear up and I start to get boost pressure but obviously I haven't floored it, just limped a few miles home.
I've got it booked in the garage for Saturday, and if it does turn out to be the turbo can you guys recommend a sterdy replacement.
It's around 300bhp on factory turbo. I was thinking about the pumaspeed stage 1 upgraded turbo, but wondered what you guys think

Cheaper and easier to get it rebuilt I'd have thought, unless you're looking to change it anyway

 

Thanks for the reply. I did change it for a slightly bigger one because 300bhp is pushing it for the stock turbo. Now I have another problem after fitting a new actuator yay
