Wow, that’s a lot of power in a light car. You had a different crate engine before didn’t you?
Yeah I bought a 525hp LS3 crate engine for the Camaro but ended up fitting it into my Firenza, this left me thinking about buying an LT4 (640hp supercharged) but a guy at Chevy told me they were releasing the LT5 so I waited, glad I did now. 110hp more than my Lambo

The Americans are way ahead when it comes to these crate engines. love the concept with an engine that is fully built and ready to go straight out of the box with 755 bhp !!!!
would it be rude to ask how much would such a engine set you back martin?
if my old boreham 3dr doesnt sell i may explore this route
By the time you've bought the ecu package and ancillaries you've done around 24k USD, that still needs a clutch too. a 525hp LS3 is a way cheaper option though.

And in some cases probably with a pretty good warranty !
i went the ford route, 2018 coyote, getting a forged rotating assembly, and a pair of turbos, once mapped it should be good for 1000hp, its connected to a 10 speed flappy paddle box, the donor engine, box and front axle, came from F150, rear axle is 2018 mustang irs, much cheaper way to go for me than a crate engine as i needed it with forged internals to take the boost, its only a baby 5.0 compared to the 6.2, but with twin injectors and 32v is makes up for it, decided to keep the f150 4wd as it can be switched to 2wd on the fly if i want 2wd,

I had no interest or time to start looking for and striping a base vehicle. I wanted a Chevy engine for my Camaro, the other thing is fitting used running gear could result in a Q plate if the nosy authorities find out. I also wanted plug and play to cut down time.
Who did you use Martin, and how much roughly was it if you don't mind me asking?
I've got a 427 Ford being built that will be ready in June and was planning on getting it shipped in a container...
I bought the engine from Summit, I dont know who they used to trasnport it to the airport but it went on a Quatar plane and was delivered this side by DB Shenker. It cost about $750

Thanks Martin, up to now it wasn't an option I had considered and that's a good price!
