Default bonnet raisers..

keep seeing these more and more on RST's.. at first I hated them as it looks like your bonnet isnnt shut but, they are growing on me

Do temps dramatically drop with these? in otherwords, do they work?

plus, do you get people saying your bonnets not shut properly as this would really piss me off

the only reason they're growing on you is because you keep seeing them - anyone who hasn't seen them before will think you have front end damage; and then if they ask you and you say they are raisers they'll just think they are wank.

which they are

Had them on mine and they worked a treat. Took them off over the winter as they weren't needed. Depending how we get on in over the next few weeks they may find their way back on again. Don't give a fook how people thinks it looks, function over form in this case.

hard to pinpoint tbh, but I'll try and describe

that car's gotta look " 'ard" for a start, and have a bit of a race/slag look about it. A car a bit like B19 TRB's or a bit more like a track-day weapon with things like a removed headlight or black tape on lights etc etc, not like a normal streetcar standardish S2

Buy a new rad you fookin Chav's! If you need it to make your car reliable then you have serious mechanical issues. The extra drag from the turbulence around the exposed edges will do wonders for your cars performance too.

If I ever get a TVR Tuscan or a 575 GT I'll be sure to get some bonnet raisers as a bit more cooling can't be a bad thing

I think it looks a bit wanky TBH. But it does work and I don't mind it looking a bit wanky if it does a job. Not keen on bonnet pins either but they are there for a reason as well.

If you don't think that raising the bonnet at the back affects drag then you dont know anything about fluid dynamics or cars. To be honest you arent going to notice the effect unless you're doing top speed runs but never the less it creates additional drag and besides it looks like you've jsut graduated from driving a Nova.
