Default Changing Mileage!

My dials are fooked and I am gonna buy some off ebay that come with white dials in them!

How hard will it be to move the mileage forward to match the correct mileage?

IT is a series 2!

Thanks

put a speedo cable on it, and the other end of the cable put a drill on it and turn it on, watch the miles click up!.

saves making marks on the digits and people thinking its clocked!

the drill will work but it could take a while if you have to add a few miles!!

could try a dremel as i think they spin at a fair rate of knots

most people want to decrease mileage, so why would the professionals do it thattt way ?

unless they have a drill that has reverse gears

nice one, and yeah your probably right about the clocking...

they will just send it round the clock, so it goes past 00000 and then they set it to whatever they desire

It's a simple clock to adjust on an S2, I reset mine to 00000 when I fitted a new engine. All you have to do is dismantle the clock a bit and it's simple to do with a small screwdriver.

If the escort speedo is the same type as the sierra one its dead easy to do. When I changed the speedo in mine for a 170mph cossie I wanted to keep the mileage the same. I tried using the drill but it takes ages so I carefully levered open the actual counter barrel and moved the counters round to what I wanted. I didn't seem to harm it.
