Default Exhaust heat wrap pics....

Evening all,

Been chatting about heat wrap on the exhaust today....can anybody show me some pictures of it on the system.

I don’t have any pics but I used zircotec coating, is expensive but more efficient, neater and lasts longer. Heat wrap can go brittle and can cause issues if fitted badly with gaps. Go black if you use zircotec imo.

Heat wrapped my downpipe before install, not sure if it made any difference though.
Was mainly because anti lag was scorching my heatsheild

If I needed any sort of heat management again Id go this way its just fit and forget

Had the Focus manifold and downpipe Zircotec coated, really neat and does the trick remarkably well

I think we paid Ł275 but that was probably 18 months ago. Looks like it's gone up a tenner since then

The finish doesn’t change in my experience but does get stained a little if you drop oil on other colours. Admittedly my car has only done about 1000 miles at best on it.

As above, finish hasn't changed after about 1500 miles. Gonna get the turbine housing done soon too

i did mine and a few people said it may prematurely wear the turbo but I think it was following Rods old comments that turbo blankets kill turbos...that could be old turbo tech and his car saw extremes?
