Thinking fitting zetec but struggling getting my head round the ecu and wiring could do with a step by step guide
for example do i just plug the ecu in where mine is and swap wires at engine loom or am i on wrong lines
idealy would love to rs turbo it on efi but will cost too much as donor costs

My friend bought 4 cabs in that colour for his "fleet" of reps for a paper company, all 4 got nicked in the first year, one from inside a locked garage.

Yeah floors are good just some welding in wheel well and passanger rear floor and a little on scuttle windscreen lip
All panels original except bonnet which is a genuine turbo item
original battery tray etc
thinking keep original engine for now at least just rebuild for piece of mind while removed for respray
would like zetec but think it would be a shame to hurt the originalty
Going to spray it the original bahamma blue if i can work out the code one of five or azure blue what do people think
Swapped this for my last toy which i miss but didnt use enough and had 4 mk4 xr3i and 2 mk5 xr3i back in 90s but always wanted a cabby

Defo off roof, held on by two screws. I know because I literally unscrewed them 4 hours ago to remove a roof cover!! Lol (what's the chances of that!)

they go on leading corners of roof. ie if you undo roof and lift slightly, looking from the front back at roof they should go above the latch hook and screwed to frame! I'll take a photo and upload the pic when I get the chance !

You will struggle to find genuine replacements tbh mate. May have to go the aftermarket braided route. I’ve just finished my cab so happy to help with anything mate, I have WhatsApp too

A great little project... I have a mk3 Escort Cabriolet with an RS Turbo engine in... I'm not a million miles away from you over in Lincolnshire, I work a lot in Doncaster too....

It doesn't look like this at the minute... Been off the road 3 years now, stuck in the garage!

Just had a gud look and realised one reason body in such good condition is waxoil is in every gap
doors
sills
front cross member
rear panel inside boot
rear quaters etc
have also decided not going to paint inside arches and underneath going to prep and underseal as want to use it and not be a trailer queen
unless somebody has good suggestions
