Question Escort RS turbo brake caliper thread depth

Afternoon all, getting to the end of my 1.1 Popular to RST conversion and gone to fit the front brake calipers, the hose i have which is the same hose for all MK4 escorts doesn't seem to have a long enough thread to bottom out in the ERST caliper, the nut flange hits the caliper.
Has anyone else had this problem?
I checked the thread depot from the 1.1 calipers tot he ERST calipers and there is a 5mm deeper thread in the ERST ones,
Any advise would be really useful.
Thanks
Rich

Hi, would anyone have an RST caliper in their garage they could measure the depth of the hose union on? Im desperate to get this car MOT'd this week and the only thing stopping me is this bloody hose issue now.
I screwed the longer male end into the caliper and then marked and measured it, it came to 19mm to the tip,
Measuring the shorter unisex end it comes out to 16mm. The hose is identical tot he old ones from the 1.1 and the part system says they are the same, i looked at the braided ones from burtons, they have the same shorter unisex end too , That end doesn't fit the hard line on the car tho so im sure ive got it right, all the pictures ive seen on the net show the smaller end in the caliper.

Well i will attempt to use an M10 dowty in lieu of any other resolution, other than that a range rover rear brake hose is long enough and has 2 male M10 ends
