i have a sierra cosworth 4x4 that has an alpine stereo fitted and would like to refit the origional ford units,i dont know what should be fitted as standard,would appreciate model numbers or if anyone has these units for sale.

Hi , It maybe worth being more precise with the year or date of build,
some were fitted with 2008 radio and 2028 or 2040 cd
have a look being the current alpine and try to find any unused wiring plug / plugs.

 

maybe its me but the standard ford stereo is crap. It was usually the first thing to go in mine lol

here is the vin no.WFOFXXGBBFLU59668,which seems to be a june 1990 built car,it was registered on the 1/8/1991 with a kenwood muti play cd as an extra at £590.00,it now has an alpine unit in its place,would like to put in what would have been fitted by ford at the time,if thats possible to keep the original look.
