can anybody help, thinking of putting a 2.9 v6 cos worth engine in my 2.5di smiley face transit.any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

i would go with the BOA rather than the BOB set up as the BOB set up uses PATs which is a realy pain.

however you can use the BOB engine with the BOA wiring loom and ecu without any problems.

the BOB has a stronger bottom end, and the inlet is better i think. whereas the BOA uses a twin cam chain set up compared to the single chain on the BOB.

easiest solution is to use standalone management as that gets you round and PATs issues on the BOB. parts are getting harder to find for these. you might be better off going for the V6 Duratec from the Mondeo St220. which is very similar to the V6 in the JAG but is RWD so can use theat gearbox and engine mounts easier.
