Default Fuel pump check valve

I’m starting to buy all bits to do my fuel system
I’m going to be running a DW pump to the rail
before I had a Bosch and they all seem to have s check valve on the outlet
the DW pump does not have any check valve fitted
so why does the Bosch have the valves fitted
Any advise welcome

To stop the fuel lines draining when the engines off. Maintains a small amount of pressure meaning prime time is far less and cold start quicker
