Default Saff petrol tank removal

anyone done this before?

3 bolts I can see all turn and appears to be no nuts on the back?

how do I get this off?

the bolts go through a small flat clip,i dont know the offical name for it

i can see a clip but how does it come off? Do I need to hold the clip or something as everything is turning And doing nothing

they go into captive nuts, the rust normally snaps the weld so you need to cut them off and then weld in new ones

there is no other way? Last time I checked welding and fuel vapour don’t go well together lol!

Get some of these and grind the original bolt heads off so you can get the remains and the clip out

I usually just refit with stainless nuts bolts and washers but not everyone wants to do that

perfect I see what it is now then! I’ll get some though not from this seller that’s about £4 worth at a fasteners!!

I did the same and bought equivalents from eBay I spent half that and ended up with twice as many.

its the cossie tax, I saw a cosworth ford badge the other day for £100! But it was just a ford blue oval described as genuine cossie! It would fit any Sierra fiesta escort etc etc
