RS TURBO 1988 Mk4 Air/con

RS TURBO 1988 Mk4 Air/con
Good afternoon,
I’m restoring my 1988 RS turbo. Its an export (French car) LHD.
It doesnt have a sun roof nor A/con.
Did Mk4’s have A/con as a factory option? If so where’s the best place to find a unit etc ? And is fitting it difficult. I’ve had a quick search on the internet but can only see Mk5’s having the option. Surly the exports to hotter climates had this option.

Many thanks for your reply, I thought hot climate exports would of had A/C fitted.
Where do you think the best place would be to start looking? All i find online is A/c related to Australian Mk11's.

Im going to pick up an xr3i tomorrow with air con I will let you kno if it's all there 😉
