Drivers side should be left hand thread on the front and right hand thread on the back on 2WD, clean the grease off the nut and if it has notches on the corners it's a left hand thread

Mark V8 I have been around cars for a long time and I never realised a nut which is left hand thread has notches on it, very useful information. Been caught out quite a few times trying to undo things which have been left hand thread and to begin with tightening them even more!!!!

That's the engineer in you also other types of bolts have markings on the heads to denote what hardness they have.
It's been so long since I done my engineering apprenticeship 🙄 in fact about 24 years ago.
